Prioritize yourself by focusing on your mental health and wellness.

  • Connection

Build a meaningful connection with your therapist. Feeling validated, heard, and respected will improve the therapeutic relationship.

  • Honesty

Being honest with yourself is not always easy, so it can be hard to share with your therapist too. When trust and comfort exist, honesty can surface.

  • Growth

Once we are honest with ourselves, we make room for learning and growth. Growth may look like breaking old patterns, creating new habits, and establishing a plan to meet goals.

Our services are right for you if...

You have never attended therapy. It can be scary to reach out and talk to someone for the first time. At SLC, we will check in with you throughout the session and encourage feedback, so you get the best support, tailored to your needs.

You are looking for a new therapist. Therapeutic rapport is important, and it is encouraged to treat your mental health as a consumer. If it doesn't feel like a good fit, try again. At SLC, you can share if something is not working, or if you would like to try a different approach. Being included in your own journey is important, and will make it a more valuable experience.

You feel great. It can be wise to have an established support in place, for when times get tough. Life has inevitable highs and lows- know where to turn when the tides shift.

You feel like you are lost or struggling. It is so difficult to live with feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness. As a wise professor, Dr. Alice once said, "when you are in the middle of a forest fire, it is hard to see a way out through all the smoke and fear. It is much easier for a person overlooking the fire from a tower, to see the way out". Sharing your pain with someone else can be freeing and may help you find a solution.
