Virtual Therapy Wherever You Are

Virtual therapy, sometimes called online counselling or telehealth, allows you to meet with a therapist from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you feel most at ease. For many clients, online therapy makes it easier to access support without the commute, traffic, or need to rearrange an already busy schedule.

Virtual sessions are secure, confidential, and just as effective as in-person therapy. Research shows that online counselling works well for many concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges.

Virtual counselling may be a good fit if you:

  • Live in a rural or remote area with limited access to therapy

  • Work shift hours or irregular schedules that make in-person sessions difficult

  • Prefer the privacy of meeting from your own space

  • Have mobility or health challenges that make travel harder

  • Want the convenience of logging in from anywhere in Alberta, or across Canada

In my practice, I strive to make virtual sessions feel as comfortable and personal as sitting together in an office. We’ll use secure video software that is simple to access, and you can choose whether to connect by computer, tablet, or phone.

What’s Included

Convenience

Life can be busy, and many people appreciate the ease of virtual therapy. As long as the session is set in a safe, private place, free from distraction, therapy can happen anywhere (within the therapist’s scope of jurisdiction).

Comfort

It can be anxiety-inducing to attend therapy in general, let alone in person, and some may feel more comfortable participating in their own homes.

Accessibility

For those living in rural or remote areas, there may be a lack of therapist availability, or concerns about confidentiality. Teletherapy is also great for those with limited transportation options or for those who work away.

If you are located outside of Alberta, all sessions will be offered virtually, by Jody, as a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
